Buy Buy buy, Rudd's just announced his new ETS policy

When Rudd announced a delay to his ETS, and a drop in carbon prices for a couple of years, some environmental groups bent over backwards to back the new scheme because the government made some vague promises to increase the CO2 reduction targets in the future.

What are the environmentalists thinking? Talk about suckers being born every minute.

To best judge the long term prospects of successfully reducing carbon, you've got to go to the stock market.

When Rudd caved in to the big end of town energy and material stocks went through the roof.

In other words, thousands of financial analysts who crunch the spreadsheets and calculate returns on investments, have instantly made the judgement that the polluting mother fuckers have just been given the biggest free kick by Rudd.

Those who make a living from the markets know full well Rudd has thrown up the white flag to the big emitters.

The ALP have just done what they always do: be very green in opposition and then being Another Liberal Party in government.

The ETS legislation should be rejected in the Senate, reintroduced, rejected again, and then we should get a chance to kick the Labor cunts in another election.

Really Iain you cant seriously think that any ETS scheme would make a scrap of difference to the climate now do You?
Or that your beloved Greens will ever get into government?

Mate you need a reality check!

Won't matter much, never make it through the upper house.

Hell, they have to get the budget through yet, and the way the Libs are prancing around, they are in election mode already.
